Biological nitrogen in the legislation of the EU

This article presents an analysis of the legislative framework of the EU, in which regulation or support for the use of biological forms of nitrogen in agricultural production in Europe is implemented. Two main documents that in our opinion contribute to positive changes nowadays occurring in biological agriculture include the «Common Agricultural Policy» of EU Member States and the 91/676/EEC Directive with all its modern amendments.The changes in recent years in the major laws and regulations of the EU, aimed at supporting the implementation ofthe farming technologies in agricultural production, which are based on the use of biological nitrogen, were analyzed.
